How to import your theme demo content in SharePoint

Note: This article refers to themes from version X.X.X.2
Important: Your BindTuning theme must be installed and applied to the site, prior to proceeding.

Starting in release X.X.X.2, BindTuning themes are packaged including demo content files, which can be directly imported into your SharePoint website.

Add content to the MainContentZone

To import demo content into your SharePoint website main content area, proceed as follows:

  1. Login to, and go to your account. Download your theme's demo content .zip file


  2. Extract the zip file to your computer. File is named
  3. The extracted file is a .txt file
  4. Open demo content file (.txt) and copy all its content
  5. Log into your website as admin
  6. Click Edit
  7. In Format Text tab click Edit Source


  8. Copy the HTML code between tag <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="MainContentZone" runat="server"> from the demo content file and paste it into your page.
  9. Save

Add content to other zones

If you want copy content to other zones than MainContentZone, make sure to follow these steps:

  1. Open your website in SharePoint Designer and open All files folder
  2. Open _catalogs


  3. Click masterpage
  4. Search by theme installed and open your theme
  5. Right click at the layout applied to your site and click Check out
  6. Right click again at the layout and click Edit file in advanced mode


  7. Copy the code from the .txt demo content file and replace corresponding zones in the layout.
  8. Save

    Hi Jodi, yes it is now available, but you need to make sure you already have the theme's latest version. You can update your theme by following these instructions:
